3. Linking the New Block (Hashing)

Once the transactions are verified and consensus is reached, the data is put into the new block which is assigned a unique Hash code. This hash acts as a sort of digital fingerprint that guarantees data integrity.

The new block is then linked to the preceding block in the chain. The hash of the previous block serves as the chain that links all the blocks together. If the content of a block is changed, whether intentionally or accidentally, the hash value will change, so data tampering can be immediately detected.

4. Permanent Storage and Distribution

Once the block is added to the chain, the data becomes immutable (cannot be altered) or deleted without the agreement of the majority of nodes. The system then distributes the latest copy of this ledger to all network participants, ensuring everyone has the exact same record.
